director of bagging & automation
I started a career in bagging and automation in 1992 working for a manufacturer in Southeast Kansas. Seems like you wore a lot of hats in those days. I spent time in sales, equipment design and running product in our test lab earning the nick name “Dusty”. Running the test lab allowed me to learn bulk solids flow characteristics and technologies at an accelerated rate. I moved from the drafting table to AutoCAD in 1997. The knowledge and skillsets I acquired during this time enabled me to pursue my passion of effectively solving problems and providing customers with innovative solutions.
To further expand my industrial equipment knowledge, I moved from the bagging world into material handling equipment and continued this career path through the end of 2006. During this time, I worked with overhead cranes, manipulators, vacuum lifters, magnet lifters, many types of conveyance, storage and retrieval systems, robotics, mezzanines, in-plant offices, safety equipment and much more.
I returned to bagging and automation in 2007 working for a manufacturer of bag closing equipment, bagging scales, bag hangers and palletizing systems. In August, 2017 I joined the Ambrose Companies as director of bagging and automation and now work with an amazing sales and tech services team that shares the same passion of providing our customers with innovative equipment solutions and world class service.
