overview
The cross-plant commute
Equipment Used
Starrco Modular Break Room
Terminal HVAC Units
Employees were losing valuable minutes each shift walking the length of a 900k-square-foot facility just to eat lunch. A temporary tent near the production line offered shelter but no climate control — hardly a morale booster in Midwest summers and winters.

Approach
How we fixed the break
When the facilities team realized how much time a cross-plant lunch break consumed, they asked us to design a climate-controlled room directly beside the work cells. We began with a joint site visit to Starrco’s factory, giving the customer’s leadership a hands-on look at panel construction.
Although two alternate suppliers came in lower on price, the team chose our solution for three reasons: local field support, visible build quality, and an accelerated permitting and install process. Once approved, the panels shipped to site, were set in place with minimal disruption to production, and outfitted with three PTAC units. The tent was removed, furniture moved in, and staff gained a clean, quiet space to enjoy lunch without the daily cross-plant commute.
